Laila Seidel currently lives in Prague, Czech Republic, but has always been travelling a lot - with a focus on Eastern European Countries- which is the main inspiration of her artwork.

From 2002 to 2006 she studied Free Visual Arts at FH Ottersberg where she successfully gained her diploma in painting.

She has organized several international exhibitions and artists' exchanges with artists from Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. Laila Seidel is dedicated to collaborations and takes regularly part in artists' residencies and symposia from Latvia to Kyrgyzstan. Her innovative artwork featuring various techniques i.g. reverse glass painting and paper cuts is shown in solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe. Supplementary to creating her own artwork she has a wide range of teaching experience.
