Človek je človekom, keď sa snaží pochopiť iných a nadviazať s nimi dialóg.
Vo svojich obrazoch prezentujem jednak silu mozgu, ako aj schopnosť odzrkadľovania symetrie v rímskom panteóne, kde boli zastúpené všetky vrstvy spoločnosti, ako akadémia vied, umenia a aktuálna encyklopédia.
Ermitáž v Petrohrade, Louvre v Paríži sú tou kruhovou panorámou, ktorú Tolstoj rozdeľoval a Dostojevskij spájal.
"Credo qua absurdum."
Maľba spred dvesto rokov sa vracia do súčasnosti, aby zosilnila tradíciu, kultúru a spájala vývoj civilizácie.
Som presvedčený, že človek musí v sebe objaviť totálne schopnosti, potom ísť do sveta, získať silu a vrátiť sa naspäť. Nemôže zaliesť ako potkan do pivnice a tam hľadať celý svet.
Svojou tvorbou sa snažím napĺňať strategický úmysel spojiť svoju americkú skúsenosť s európskou ambíciou - dobre poznajúc dejiny Spojených štátov amerických, našiel som paralelu s európskymi ambíciami Tretieho tisícročia.
"Zaujímavé je, že Aristoteles, čo mal camera obscura, mal dve krabice a jeden priezor tiež, to je ako ľudský mozog. A to je presne to, že maľba je ako camera obscura, lebo tam je ľavý a pravý mozog symetrie a nie je to generované iba analytickou mysľou. Symetrická je iba vedomosť, takže tam sa naozaj zachytáva pohyb a život v tom momente, keď sa to maľuje. Bod maľby by bol najdôležitejší, keby sa v tú sekundu, čo sa vo svete veci dejú sa maľujú tie veci. Tým sa zachytávajú, akoby sa dajú do štvordimenzionálneho priestoru.
Sú všelijaké slová, absolútne, univerzálne, ale vždy myslím, že ak idem do tej maľby, že nezáleží na tom, aká je to maľba. Maľujem vždy konkrétnu tragédiu. V brutalite života vidím jeho krásu
…keby sila v mojich obrazoch vyprovokovala niekoho k tomu, aby zobral guľomet a rozstrieľal ich na kúsky, považoval by som to za kompliment.
V maľbe sa nachádza život sám. Je to iný svet. Realita sveta je daná v našich predstavách, ktoré si sami tvoríme. Nie je žiadne bytie. Sú len obrazy, ktoré plynú…

Sila a výnimočnosť výrazu a štýlu urobili z jeho diela vzácne a vyhľadávané artefakty, ktoré sú aj na americké pomery vysoko hodnotené. To je ďalší paradox – hodnota, zmysel a cena umenia – že jeho obrazy, ktoré odhaľujú veľkosť i biedu človeka, spoločnosti, ich dejín, provokujú mocných tohto sveta, aby ich vlastnili. I napriek tomu, že sú aj výčitkou či pripomenutím, že "divadlo sveta" je práve v ich rukách.
Je obdivuhodné a lichotivé, že diela umelca so slovenským pôvodom sa nachádzajú v najprestížnejších galériách a výstavných sieňach nielen Ameriky, ale aj Európy a Ázie. Dve Bencove medirytiny kúpilo Múzeum moderného umenia v New Yorku. Oveľa dlhší je zoznam miest a galérií, v ktorých mal Adolf Benca samostatné výstavy. Prevažná časť jeho obrazov, olejov na ľanovom plátne veľkých rozmerov, je v rukách súkromných zberateľov moderného umenia na celom svete.

In my paintings I present both the power of the brain and the ability to reflect the symmetry in the Roman pantheon, where all levels of society were represented, such as the academy of sciences, the arts and the actual encyclopedia.
The Hermitage in St. Petersburg, the Louvre in Paris are the circular panorama that Tolstoy divided and Dostoevsky united.

The painting of two hundred years ago returns to the present to amplify tradition, culture and to link the development of civilization.
I am convinced that man must discover the total capacity within himself, then go out into the world, gain strength, and come back. He cannot crawl like a rat into a cellar and search the whole world there.
With my work, I am trying to fulfill a strategic intention to combine my American experience with a European ambition - knowing well the history of the United States, I have found a parallel with the European ambitions of the Third Millennium.
"Interestingly, Aristotle, who had a camera obscura, had two boxes and one visor as well, it's like a human brain. And that's exactly the point, that painting is like a camera obscura, because there's left and right brain symmetry and it's not just generated by the analytical mind. Only consciousness is symmetrical, so that's where the movement and the life is really captured in that moment when it's being painted. The point of painting would be most important if in that second that things are happening in the world those things are being painted. That way they are captured, as if they are put into a four-dimensional space.
There are all kinds of words, absolute, universal, but I always think that if I go into that painting, it doesn't matter what kind of painting it is. I'm always painting a particular tragedy. In the brutality of life I see its beauty
...if the power in my paintings provoked someone to pick up a machine gun and shoot them to pieces, I would consider that a compliment.
Life itself is found in the painting. It's a different world. The reality of the world is given in our imaginations that we create for ourselves. There is no being. There are only images that flow...

The power and uniqueness of his expression and style have made his work rare and sought-after artifacts that are highly prized even by American standards. This is another paradox - the value, meaning, and price of art - that his paintings, which reveal the greatness and misery of people, societies, and their histories, provoke the powerful of this world to own them. Even though they are also a reproach or a reminder that the "theatre of the world" is precisely in their hands.
It is admirable and flattering that the works of an artist of Slovak origin can be found in the most prestigious galleries and exhibition halls not only in America, but also in Europe and Asia. Two of Benco's mediriths were purchased by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The list of places and galleries where Adolf Benca had solo exhibitions is much longer. The bulk of his paintings, oils on linen canvas of large dimensions, are in the hands of private collectors of modern art around the world.
