Nejsem velký tvůrce v romantickém prostředí podkroví nebo posh ateliéru. Naprosto obyčejně den co den chodím do běžné práce, pozoruju svět a pokouším se ho zachytit. Ne s cílem vysvětlit ho nebo poučovat o něm, prostě sledovat – maluju nejraději v pátek, to jsou barvy nejvíc neochotné a stojí za to se s nimi přít. Právě olejové barvy mi pomohly od barbarství do dekadence, jen škoda, že bez mezičlánku kultury.Malba je pro mě ne posedlostí významem nebo o výpovědí "o stavu světa", ale možností vytvoření mojí verze reality bez hlubšího smyslu. Stejně je smysl jen nuda, co nosí kravatu.

I'm not some great artist working in a romantic attic or a posh studio. I just go to an ordinary job every day, observe the world, and try to capture it. Not to explain it or teach anyone about it – just to watch. I prefer painting on Fridays, because that's when the colors are at their most stubborn, and that makes them worth arguing with. It was oil paints that took me from barbarism to decadence – too bad it happened without the intermediate stage of culture.
For me, painting isn't about a fixation on meaning or making statements about "the state of the world." It's simply a way to create my own version of reality, without any deeper significance. After all, meaning is just a dullness wearing a tie.

Ich bin keine große Künstlerin in einem romantischen Dachatelier oder einem schicken Studio. Ich gehe ganz normal jeden Tag zur Arbeit, beobachte die Welt und versuche, sie festzuhalten. Nicht mit dem Ziel, sie zu erklären oder jemanden zu belehren – einfach nur zu beobachten. Am liebsten male ich freitags, weil die Farben dann am widerspenstigsten sind, und genau deshalb lohnt es sich, sich mit ihnen zu streiten. Gerade die Ölfarben haben mich vom Barbarentum zur Dekadenz gebracht – schade nur, dass die Kultur als Zwischenstufe fehlte.
Malerei ist für mich keine Obsession mit Bedeutung oder ein Statement über den "Zustand der Welt". Es ist einfach eine Möglichkeit, meine eigene Version der Realität zu schaffen – ganz ohne tiefere Bedeutung. Schließlich ist Bedeutung auch nur Langeweile mit Krawatte.
